Made me smile to read about things getting nicked - we had our knock-off Disney beach towels nicked from the balcony in Nong Khiaw...took a bit more care in Mong Ngoi!
Phonsavan would be but but also would be interesting to see how Muang Khua has changed since I was last there five years go. Most buildings were marked for demolition
Right now, if the pandemic hadn’t happened, I’d be on a bus to Can Tho with a friend from work. I’m amusing her by copying you and sending her pics of the places we should be staying and things we should be eating and so on... my itinerary is gonna be watertight by the time we get there 😬😆.
I’m interested in Plain of Jars for the next bit. The closest I’ve been is reading about it in a Dr Siri Paiboun story!

Phonsavan and the Plain of Jars please.
I'd be interested to hear whether the Plain of Jars is worthwhile. Have always skipped it, feeling it sounds like little reward for a lot of travel.
never been to the plain of jars... skipped it for lack of time thinking we'd go back one day.
