Oh ssooo true Stuart . A problem I’ve had though is that as I mangle their language at them (chinese , vietnamese , Laotian ) they , very kindly , just respond in English ! It’s led to a few hilarious exchanges as I stupidly persevere and they correctly assume this foreign idiot needs help . Tonal languages must surely be the worst for us European speakers
