reminds me of the time my friends Tom and Mary returned to Singapore (early 80s) in the evening where they were living with their 8 month son who had been born in Singapore and the immigration guys would not let their son in because they did not have the right paper work which was at their home. After some considerable argument and insisting that without the paper work their son could not enter my friend Tom did as you did and put his son on the immigration officers desk and told him he would be back in the morning with the right paperwork and started to walk away with his wife. Only then did the immigration officer relent but of course being Singapore no tea money was needed and Tom was asked to come back the next day with the paperwork.
And yes agree with Lindy the Kep pepper crab is worth any foodies time
Ouch! You’ll need a baby mitt to stop the scratching! Hope you’re OK. This post is sooooo relatable. We travelled through Java in 95 with our 2 and 4 year old sons. That trip was sometimes hard yet holds the best memories of all our travels. Immigration, fees x4 and not enough cash, near missed flight and a child with a 39.9 temp from the Aussie flu caught en route. Your post bought it all back. Same reactions! Thanks?
And the Kep pepper crab ain’t bad either!
