Yup! If you’ve done the slow boat you have experienced some variation of The Australian!

Bloody Aussies eh?

Hi Stuart. Pleased to see it's not just us Poms that are the whingers ;-) Which beaches on KPN? Can you remember. Looking forward to Luang Prabang. We loved it there! J & J (tracking a few days behind at the moment!)

Thong Nai Pan Noi! The Dutch couple said they had stayed at Nai Wok. More Luang Prabang coming today!

I did the slow boat with my kids a few years ago and we sat up on two padded benches facing each other with the locals. Conversation was limited but it was a vast improvement on sitting with the backpackers, who were blasting shit music and getting v drunk up the front. Ugh! But even that couldn’t diminish the beauty of the journey. I loved sitting with my legs hanging over the side, buffalo (or whatever they are) spotting!

Hi Sharon, Yes, you can’t always pick the company you get on the boat, but the scenery never changes—just fantastic! Cheers

Yes is a fab trip. Was lucky enough to also do Luang Prabang to Vientiane when that was still running. Was great!
