This sounds just like Rattana Resort, a set of hillside bungalows on Ko Chang Ranong where I spent an all-too-short week in February 2020, just before the pandemic lock down. I wondered how it did during this time, but see it is still listed on a few accommodation search engines. It was far from everywhere else and not particularly comfortable. I loved every minute there.
