Priwan is still going.... not strong, but still going. She's adorable, and will do almost anything for her guests - you might just have to remind her a couple of times.
I've passed through on the bus from Nan to Chiang Mai, but never stayed over. It seems like I've missed out, and will make up for that oversight next trip. I'll pass on the beef bile and pigs blood, however.
We tried to drive to Phrae from Sukhothai a couple years ago but google
Maps went loco and we got very lost in the jungle. We stopped and had a nice walk around some weird rock formation in the middle of nowhere, then gave up on Phrae and went to Lampang instead. Nice to know what we missed out on!
