Wasn't going to write because I agree with everything already written but wanted you to know how much I look forward to your posts. I listen to your voice right before I fall asleep and it is soothing and I'm sure makes my dreams of travel more interesting. As for your new schedule, seems like you will still be posting 5 days a week. So not much easier for you. But thank you!!
Hi Stuart. I have enjoyed Couchfish. I echo the thought of doing whatever you feel up to. I like the part about more feedback/interactive posts. Your articles are a great distraction from the ongoing pandemic bad news and I appreciate that.
Just so you know, I work as a family doctor and emergency room doctor in rural Ontario, Canada. Luckily where I live the Covid numbers are quite low but they are going up in the province and I am quite worried about where we are headed. Besides that, I am really missing planning our annual 2 month trip to somewhere warm in Asia. Looking out at the snow and the drizzle and reading the Covid numbers can get quite grim so your travel distraction is greatly appreciated and entertaining.
hi Stuart, thanks for all your tales this year. it has made a difference for us to read about these places we either know well or have been - or not and happy to have so much info for future travels! and also your stories and experiences over the years haha, these def. brought laughter at breakfast!
take a break, you deserve it!! anything you'll write next year will be plenty, make it last rather than overwhelm.
i think some people will want to discuss here if they get the chance. and i agree with Marsha in occasionally giving us the donations page again for community projects we know or don't know about just so some of us can get rid of the superfluous coins we have in our pockets. (my excuses if i offend someone)
enjoy your holiday, enjoy your family and take a swim into 2021 for me will ya ;-)
This all sounds great. If you are looking for ideas I will share a few. I would be very interested to read about how local tour guides and small business owners are doing, how are they able to financially survive without tourists. I am sure many of us have met local people in our travels and many of them have English language skills so they could write the post. I am also interested to learn about local, small community projects that would benefit from donations. I know of a few and I am sure others are also aware of some. What are their projects, how do you donate and such. Thank you for all of your posts, they have been a mood lifter for me as I have been to many of the places you have written about.
Thanks Stuart and a happy New Year to all. Sometimes I’m struggling to keep up. Less is more sometimes and, just so you know, even a reduction in postings beyond what you propose isn’t going to kill me!
Would like to to say thanks for all the time & effort you have put in. I really appreciate it as I had a 3 - 4 month trip planned to the area. I will still do it, just postponed indefinitely but your newsletters have given me some new areas to look at.
As to what you do going forward, whatever it is I appreciate it

Thank you! I hate to think of the dreams some Couchfish issues would seed! ha ha ha

Hi Marsha, thanks—some great ideas, already thinking of people to chat with. Cheers!
