Stuart I agree Java is well worth a visit it has some beautiful scenery , great food the people are lovely and most of the time it is not hard to find a cold beer. Indeed I look forward to reading about more islands because many of them are well worth a visit.

Sounds like it was a great trip and I hope to see much of it one day -- by train. I don't ride scooters anywhere! LOL.
